Bolywood Dance
Basic Indian traditional folk and classical dance moves,
learning combinations and choreography. The Bollywood classes offered for beginner&intermediate students and for different age groups. Kids group will have fun moving to the Bollywood music rhythm and learn the choreography. There are plenty of opportunities to explore your talent at local festivals, concerts, cultural events and etc. The Monday morning class for group "35+" is created for ladies who likes to learn and to move slow. There will be taught a choreography to a famous Bollywood movie song.
Conditioning
This class will provide you with good stretching and
strengthening for your body. All levels encouraged and
welcomed. Expect to sweat and work hard! All levels
are welcome and will benefit from regular attendance.
Belly Dance Performance Class
Learning the choreography, drilling the moves and combos. There are plenty of opportunities to explore your talent at local festivals, concerts, cultural events and etc. It is a 2-hour class - real work out and fun! |

Beginner Belly Dance
Learn the basic movements and isolations, simple rhythms, and basic finger cymbal patterns. These classes are geared for the non-dancer as well as dancers of other dance forms.
Intermediate Belly Dance
Building on dance skills learned in Beginners, students increase their movement vocabulary, learn additional isolations, begin to layer movements, and play finger cymbals. Basic veil work, basic floor work, new rhythms, and basic combinations are also introduced. Bring zills and veil.
Intermediate/Advance Belly Dance
Learn advanced movements, variations, combinations, and layering techniques, and how to tailor movements to different rhythms and instruments. This class will also include developing skills in finger cymbals, musical interpretation and improvisation. Be in the music! Bring zills and veil. |

Started dancing at a very young age, Heather has studied tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, clogging, and belly dance. She became enthused by ZUMBA which combines her love of dance to her goals with personal fitness. Living in Chile and studying the Spanish language has given Heather a love and appreciation for Latin music and culture. Their culture truly is one that will get up and dance. She wants to spread the joy of dancing to everyone while getting the added bonus of getting physically fit. |

Beginner Belly Dance
Learn to belly dance by building muscle memory and having fun! Andrea will start at the very beginning, no experience required, and will build on previous week's lessons to give students a strong foundation in the basic movements and technique. If students are interested, she may teach beginning veil technique as well! Bellydance is a great way to tone your core, legs, and butt while having a great time and looking good!
Andrea is the co-founder of Nalini & The Blue Lotus Dance Co. and has performed as a professional dancer at Mamounia moroccan restaurant, private functions, and with the Blue Lotus Dance Co. all over the Pacific Northwest. She is known for her friendly and lively instruction, as well as having a great instinct for knowing how to break down moves for beginning dancers. Andrea also has a background in ballet, jazz, and modern dance, and has taught dance workshops and classes for several years. She loves all forms of dance and each one enhances the knowledge and ability in others. |
